My guess is that you are referring to the runtime license only. In that case you only need to have the Development license. I would recommend having both the Development license and a Runtime license. If you are going to be developing on Windows, I think having the Runtime license will be good (see below). Alternatively, you could always stick with the Development license and not buy the Runtime license, then you can always make changes to the viewer to handle Windows.

If you just want to use the program on the HMI, then just telling the HMI it shall load, that’s all you need. But if you’d like to actually make changes within the HMI, then you’ll need to have your development license loaded up on the HMI.
Oh-I just did some research and found out that there are two types of licenses: Development licenses and Runtime licenses. So, the information sent by them was not all correct. Development licenses are only for the development without actually running on an HMI. d2c66b5586
