For Honor is an action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. This is the second installment in the popular video game series based on the popular medieval combat themed video games from Ubisoft's time in the fighting game genre that came before it, such as Ubisoft's own Prince of Persia series, Shadow of the Colossus and Assassin's Creed. This installment, For Honor, is the first one published by Ubisoft since the loss of it's Electronic Arts publisher. This is also the only installment in the series that is currently available on PC.

For Honor is a hack and slash action game with a persistent online multiplayer mode. This game is designed to be a fast-paced action game with incredible spectacle that is enjoyable for all audiences. The game contains two different classes, Warrior and Champion. The Warriors have light and medium armor sets while the Champions have heavy armor. The Warrior class has three different sub-classes, Marauder, Scout and Blade. The Champion has two sub-classes, Vanguard and Master. The Warrior class has three different loadouts, Assault, Dual Wield and Defense. The Champion has four different loadouts, Vanguard, Martial, Assault and Master.

Each class is able to use three different weapon types, a longsword, longbow and axe. Each class has a variety of swords, bows, spears and axes. All of the weapons are considered light weapons and can be equipped in the hand or on the body.

For Honor's game mode in Ultimate Edition will be the persistent online multiplayer with up to 100 players in 8v8 battles and an 8v8 Free-For-All (FFA) mode. The game is single-player focused and does not have a campaign mode. For Honor features a character creator with up to three character classes, four different weapon types and three loadouts that can be customized per class. For Honor is a hack and slash action game with a persistent online multiplayer mode.
